I felt my heart flutter when I received a message wondering where my newsletter was, though I felt a tad embarrassed, it made me feel appreciated. That’ll be a bit of a theme here.

I’ve gone from being an in person girlfriend to all to a digital girlfriend. I am officially on an indefinite hiatus from professional companionship. Why? I’m at the place with my disability where a long, physical schedule is dangerous. I broke two fingers over the past 2 months and when it comes to tantra and kink, I have to trust another professional creator, instead of a new person, to keep me safe. Why No New November?

First off this isn’t a catch all statement, I’ve made a new website this month, take on many new lovers and am preparing for many new things, but to prepare for those, first must come emptying. We need to clear space before we can fill it with what we need. It’s a natural process just like how birds clear dead prairie grass to build their nests to prepare for babies coming in the spring. No new also does not meet not returning to old things that may have lost your attention, this is a perfect time for rekindling. This week I’ve been choosing clothes tho donate, clearing out my herb shelf and reorganizing, and even did the dreaded task of deep cleaning the refrigerator. Since it’s been getting colder and I’m spending more time inside, I’ve been homemaking lots of our meals and drinks, helping to avoid buying new food when we have enough.

By “no new” I also mean to be cautious of diving into new relationships, trying new life philosophies, making large decisions based on entirely new thoughts (not researched, prepared thoughts). Make space for the relationships that serve you, and appreciate those people the way they would like to be appreciated, this may take deep listening but clearing out the relationships that don’t serve you will allow you to do this easier. And one last thought on my “no new” focus of this month is that we have no new planet. I see nature trying to go through her decomposing and recycling seasons while industrial needs choke her. There is new construction constantly being proposed around Chicago, and I urge you to use your voice to stop it. There is new trash every day on my street corner, though I pick it up almost daily, I urge you to choose a day to clean up trash around you to help the earth with her emptying process. It takes work, but we can open up.

Dolly and I are very excited to be unveiling the official website for Portalis Photography, our inclusive and accessible adult photography studio. The brand new website for Portalis will also serve as the hosting site for my photo gallery and well as my contact info for booking shoots. I, Pony, am making this website entirely by myself which is why its taken so long, but I’m ready to debut my baby to the world on Friday! Mark your calendars for the dot com debut.

I’ll leave you with a final thought on the concept of “no new” in relation to the recent United States election results (boo). There is no new way to approach this issue, the way is mutual aid and community care, ways that were used by the Black Panthers and The Janes of Chicago, abortion activists of the 80s. Struggle is not new to any of the people whose rights are being challenged, and those not being challenged need to shed their cowardice and defend others, even when it means you may have to struggle as a result. I need people who love sex workers and purchase our services to work against project 2025 in real, tangible ways. And I’ll be there to help keep you horny and entertained while we move forward!
